Anne Tower MacIntyre
June 18th, 1919 - June 29th, 2015
Anne Tower MacIntyre, 96, of Port Charlotte, and formerly Towanda, PA. passed away June 29th in her sleep. She was born to Eleanor Phippen and Daniel Tower in Brooklyn, NY, but grew up in Beverly MA. She graduated from Framingham State Teachers College and married her boyfriend of nine years, Bill (Angus) MacIntyre whom she met at dance school. Anne and Bill were avid sailers and were active in several Charlotte Harbor boat clubs racing weekly. She was very artistic and many enjoyed her seascape paintings. Anne is survived by her brother Daniel Tower, Jr., four children and their spouses: Marilyn Wolf (Chris), Nancy Johnson (Eric), Bill MacIntyre, 3rd (RaeAnn), and Jeanne Hand (Bob), 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A private celebration of life with immediate family was held June 30th. Memorial contributions can be made to Goodwill, American Red Cross, or your local food pantry.
