Dwayne C. Curtiss was born 10/9/68 in Colville, WA to Mike and Judy Curtiss; he passed away suddenly on his 49th birthday. Dwayne graduated from Colville High School, class of 1987, and soon after he joined the military where he proudly served for 11 years in the U.S. Army. Dwayne was a lifetime member of the Tacoma Sportsmen's Club where he served on the Board of Directors for several years and also as their president for two years. He enjoyed volunteering and representing the TSC at many community events. Dwayne also volunteered at the "Wear Blue Run to Remember" where each year he proudly held the flag and ribbon of SFC Goldsmith, of Colville, WA, who was killed in the line of duty.Dwayne touched many lives. He was mischievous and a jokester. Dwayne also performed random acts of kindness. He was dedicated, loving, and supportive. He valued his family and friends.Dwayne is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ba'Nai Curtiss; children: Chrystal Dobson, Tyler Dobson, and Michael Curtiss; grandchildren: William, AJ, Rylan, Trenton, Brooke, and Lyla; parents: Mike and Judy Curtiss; siblings: Lori Marzetta, George (Becky) Curtiss, and Jeff (Louise) Curtiss; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.Services will be held on 10/28/17 at 11:00 at the Free Methodist Church in Colville and 12/1/17 at the Tacoma Sportsmen's Club.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wear Blue Run to Remember or the Wounded Warrior Project.
