Jean Ann O'Neill

Jean Ann O'Neill, 82, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Thursday, October 20, 2011. She was born in Etowah, Tennessee on September 1, 1929 as Jean Ann Kummer to Ralph Phillip and Laura Mae Kummer. She graduated from Chicago State University with a degree in education. Jean worked as an art teacher in Sauk Village, Illinois until her retirement. Jean Ann devoted her life to shaping and enriching the lives of her children, grandchildren, and students through art and culture. She was always helped out local charities, delivered Meals on Wheels to the elderly, and was an active and hard working volunteer member of her church. She moved to Port Charlotte in 1992. Jean will be greatly missed by her two children, son, Sean Henry O'Neill; daughter, Victoria Mae O'Neill-Lawson; grandsons, Zachary Benjamin Lawson, Robert Henry O'Neill, and Kyle Akeem Lattimore. Memorial Services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, 1365 Viscaya Drive in Port Charlotte on November 9, 2011 at 4:30PM.
