Kathleen Ann Culver

Kathleen Ann Culver passed away in the comfort of her home on Oct. 19, 2017. Kathleen was born in The Dalles, OR, to Edward and Anna Fitzgerald on May 22, 1939. She graduated from The Dalles High School and attended Gonzaga University where she met her husband, Dave. Kathleen worked as a dental assistant while putting Dave through dental school and later was a full-time homemaker while raising their children, Dan, Lori and Erin. Through multiple military assignments in various states (and countries) Kathleen provided a loving, nurturing home for her family wherever they landed. Kathleen spent countless hours supporting her children in all of their school and recreational activities, as well as devoting time and energy to church activities. It seemed as if Kathleen never met a stranger and she went out of her way to ensure the people she met felt included, important and welcome in her company. Kathleen had a large, supportive network of friends with whom she enjoyed spending time…especially over a cup of tea. Kathleen leaves behind her loving husband of 57 years, her children, her three granddaughters (Charlotte Robinson and April and Emily Culver), brother Michael Fitzgerald and sister Margaret Fitzgerald. Kathleen faced several debilitating health challenges in her last couple of years and met them with grace and courage. Her loss will leave an enormous void in the lives of her surviving family and friends, but we will treasure all our years of warm memories. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 27th at 11:00 am at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, in Lakewood. Please share memories and condolences at www.edwardsmemorial.com.
