Sandra Lucille Craun

Tribute Sandra Lucille Craun passed away peacefully on November 13, 2021 in her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Hygiene, Colorado on March 29, 1942 to Peter Schreiner and Grace Schreiner. She attended school in Longmont, and graduated from Longmont High School in 1960. She married Steve Craun in 1971 and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They had two sons, Jason and Wayne. She worked at Neodata for many years and Gifts Plus in Longmont. After marrying, they lived in Louisville. Most Fridays after work they enjoyed going to one of the Italian restaurants in town at the time. After living in Louisville, they moved back to the Longmont area and lived on an acreage. After starting a family, she stopped working to be a stay-at-home mother. She enjoyed family get-togethers and family reunions and enjoyed cooking big meals on the holidays. She spent most of her life living outside of the city limits in the country where she had a nice view of the mountains and enjoyed watching the antics of the wildlife and birds. Sandra was a gifted artist and avid reader, and she also enjoyed crafts, puzzles and bird watching. She was a member of the Longmont Rock Club for many years and enjoyed going on rockhounding field trips and attending gem and mineral shows. She was always happy and cheerful with a smile on her face. She had a generous heart and was always willing to help people. Over the years she contributed to numerous charities and organizations. Sandra was a loving wife and mother who will be dearly missed. Sandra is survived by her husband, Steve; her children, Jason and Wayne; daughter-in-law, Dawn; brother Jack Schreiner and wife Shirley of Arizona; uncle David Schreiner of Brighton, CO; aunt Lois Schreiner of Brighton, CO; and numerous cousins.
