Edwards Memorial Funeral Homes - University Place
David Lee Tucker
August 4th, 1972 - October 31st, 2017
David rode off on his next great adventure unexpectedly on 10/31/17. He was raised in Georgia, joined the US Navy after high school and then spent his career as a Union Crane Operator all over the world. He relocated to Western WA last year with the love of his life and was working in Vancouver while living in Tacoma and commuting home every night. Motorcycles and travel were his passion in life. He loved to talk to people, any people. He could turn a 10 minute run to the grocery store into a 2 hour ordeal and he knew the life story of at least 3 different people before leaving. David loved running cranes, but even more than climbing into the tower, he loved to teach others how to run equipment. He was patient, kind and passionate and so very smart. He lived life to the fullest, and in fact, he lived enough for 10 people some days. He didn’t sit still, at all. He loved to go for short rides or long, even in inclement weather. He loved to learn, work around the house and inspired others to get up and learn things too. He constantly strived to be a better man and he made you feel special when you were in his presence. He will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him and for those that didn’t yet know him, you have no idea what you have missed out on.
