Mellard Leon Miller Mellard was born September 21, 1944 in Fruitvale, Tennessee. He passed away November 7, 2017 in Spanaway, Washington surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Eva; daughter, Monica Miller and Fiancé Lee; granddaughter Brianna Lee Miller; sister, Lois Marie Martin; brother, Tyson Miller; four stepdaughters, Yvonne Huntley, Carol Martin, Alberta Ellis, Rosie Johnson; Stepson, David D. Ellis; a host of nieces and nephews in Tennessee, and numerous extended family members and friends. He was retired from the Army in 1985. He worked for the University of Puget Sound where he retired as well. Visitation to be held on November 14, 2017 starting at 12:00 pm with Funeral Ceremony starting at 2:00 pm at the Edwards Memorial Lakewood Chapel, 11020 South Tacoma Way, Lakewood, WA 98499.
