June 20th, 1946 - November 8th, 2017
Helen Carol Wigstrom Helen was born on June 20, 1946 the daughter of Dr. Fredrick and Hazell Sands. She grew up and was educated in Fargo, North Dakota. Following high school she attended St. Olaf college for 2 years where she met Dean. Helen transfered to the university of Minnesota where she graduated with a degree in elementary education. Dean and Helen were married in 1964 and were blessed with 3 daughters and now with 7 grandchildren. Helen loved music. She played the clarinet and French horn, the piano, organ and keyboard. She sang in choirs, in alternative musical groups as well as servings of as a choir director. Helen taught school for a few years, was an office manager for a midwife clinic and worked for a cardiologist. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother. Helen is survived by her husband Dean, her three daughters; Alison Hoseth, Amy Wigstrom, Abby Carlson and 7 grandchildren. Memorial Service to be held on November 18, 2017 at 11am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1209 Scheuber Rd. N., Centrailia, WA 98531. A reception will follow.
