Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Lacey
Elsie Dora Muzatko
August 26th, 1926 - August 20th, 2023
Elsie Dora Muzatko passed away on August 20, 2023, in Lacey, Washington, at the age of 96. She was born August 26, 1926, to Dora and Karl Weidekamp in Hampton, Virginia. Elsie moved around a lot as a child, living in Hawaii, Utah, and Washington. She attended Washington State Collage (now University), was a member of Chi Omega, and met the love of her life, Ernest “Babe” Muzatko. They married on Veterans Day, November 11, 1950, and settled in Marin County, California, where they raised their family. In the late 1970s, they moved to Olympia, Washington. Elsie worked at Dominican University of California and for the Washington State Senate. She was a strong woman with a wonderful sense of humor (sometimes a bity naughty). She was wise and had a smile for everyone she encountered. As a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, she was part of the Alter Guild. Family was the most important part of Elsie’s life and her children felt blessed to call her Mom. She is survived by her daughters, Mindy, Jill (Randy), and Robyn (Jim); grandchildren, Sabrina, Derek, Jordan, Dominik, and Jack; and great-grandchildren, Addison, Canon, and Radley. A private family memorial will be held in October. Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
