Edwards Memorial Funeral Homes - University Place
Lawrence Earl Gratton
December 22nd, 1938 - December 1st, 2017
No more suffering, No more pain, Memory restored again. Lawrence Earl Gratton "Larry" born 12-22-38 has gone home to the Lord on 12/1/17 to be reunited with his son (Larry), parents (Larry and Ellen), and brother (Paul). He is survived by Sandy, his wife of 58 years, his son Don and his daughter Tina. Along with his brothers Bob (Jean) and Tom (Lorraine), sister Mary (Rich), brother-in-law Jack (Yvonne), and sisters-in-law Judy (Roy) and Susan, he has 11 grandkids and 12 great-grandkids. Larry began working at the age of 15 at the grocery store and moved onto a career with the Washington Army National Guard. Still not ready for a full retirement, he went on to work for the State with the Services for the Blind and the Secretary of States office for Sam Reed. We were not able to get him to finally retire until he was 70 years old! Larry had a true servants heart and is now serving at the feet of Jesus. A memorial (internment) will be held at a later date to be determined. If your heart feels led, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
