Kenneth John Caruthers

Kenny Caruthers, 29, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on March 12, 2016. Born and raised in Port Charlotte, Kenny was a graduate of Port Charlotte High School and attended the University of Central Florida. When he was younger, he was an avid baseball player, but discovered his true talent and interest, cooking, in more recent years. Kenny worked at Portofino's for six years prior to Hurricane Charley's, where he left many friends. A lifetime Steelers fan, Kenny also enjoyed watching his Florida teams, the Seminoles and Golden Knights, but most of all, he was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. Kenny was predeceased by his brother, Michael Lockey, in 2009. He is survived by his parents, John and Lillian (Culpepper) Caruthers of Port Charlotte; brother, Timothy (Candice) Lockey of Venice, FL; sister, Tammy (Michael Progl) Lockey of Port Charlotte; six nephews and nieces; one great-nephew; one great-niece; and multiple cousins, aunts and uncles. Services will be private.
