Lawrence Knights

Lawrence Knights Sr., 70, of Port Charlotte, passed away February 4, 2012. He was born June 4, 1941, in Trinidad, West Indies, son of the late Sonny and Alice (Joseph) Knights. He was of the Catholic faith. Lawrence was a sign technician for 16 years for Charlotte County, a great cook, his speciality was his Indian cuisine. He was also a great conversationalist. He was preceded in death by his daughter Alicia Knights 8 years ago, and his son Lawrence Jr. 2 years ago. He is survived by his loving family, wife Hazel of 35 years; son Nicholas Knights and his wife Heidi; Fitzpatrick Knights; daughter Denise Greaves; son David Greaves; a brother and 2 sisters. He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 9, 2012, from 10:30-11:30 AM at the Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home 9400 Indian Springs Road Punta Gorda. A funeral service will follow at 11 :30 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Charlotte Memorial Gardens. The family is being served by Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home
