Betty J. Leibensperger

Betty J. Leibensperger, 90 of Port Charlotte, FL passed away peacefully on June 20, 2016 with her son, David by her side. Born on June 16, 1926 in Lansdale, PA to Harvey and Mamie (Winsch) Nyce, Betty was one of seven children. She worked for many years as a lab technician for PET Incorporated in Allentown, PA, in the frozen food industry. She lived her entire life as a devoted Christian woman, always willing to help those who were fortunate enough to meet her. Betty and her husband, Richard moved to southwest Florida from Allentown, PA in September 1996, where they enjoyed the warmer weather and making new friends. Betty was particularly fond of playing Dominos every Thursday with her church family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard and son, Gary. Betty is survived by her son, David (Eilene) Leibensperger; brother, Gordon (Joyce) Nyce; sister, Patricia Bleam; granddaughters, Juli (Michael) Voigt and Lori (Dean) Travinski; grandson, Todd Leibensperger; granddaughters, Kristy (Adam) Leonard and Meredith (Andy Reed) Mantooth; and eight beautiful great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. A memorial service will be held at New Vision Fellowship Free Methodist Church, 20271 Tappan Zee Drive, Port Charlotte 33952 on Thursday, June 30 at 6:00 pm. Inurnment will be private at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Organization would be appreciated.
