In Loving Memory of Robert Lee Clark 1934-2018 Robert Clark was born September 15, 1934, in Perry Oklahoma to Valerious and Lurline Clark. Bob passed away January 22, 2018, in Gig Harbor Washington at his daughter Kimberly's home where he had lived the past two years. Kim was by his side. Bob went to Perry High School where he played on the football and basketball teams. While at Perry High, Bob began dating the one love of his life, Kathie Wyatt. Bob and Kathie married on July 2, 1954. Together they went to Northwestern State, Bob on scholarship for both football and basketball. They welcomed their first son Kevin Troy August 27, 1958, followed by daughter Kimberly Rae, and finally the family was completed with the birth of son Shannon Scott in 1965. The couple moved many times before settling in Oroville California in 1965. Bob worked as a teacher, coach and athletic director for Oroville High where he was loved and respected by both faculty and students. As an exceptional athlete Bob was able to take up golf and within a few years started playing the semi pro circuit. He continued to play on three mens league basketball teams until age 59, traveling throughout many states for games and tournaments. He took up tennis later in life, once again excelling to the tournament level. Preceded in death by his parents, his first son Kevin Troy (1957-2015) and his beloved wife Kathie (1935-2016). He is survived by daughter Kimberly Bobber (husband Bobby) son Shannon Clark, grandson Cody Naglich and granddaughter Elaine Ruth. Extended family that helped to make Washington "home"; Robert, Kelci, Anthony and Elena Bobber. Bob is remembered as being a kind and considerate man by the wonderful Hospice care team, they often asked "are you even sick?" His former athletes, students and friends count him as a great mentor and loyal friend. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.
