Cecil George Markley It is with great sadness that the family of Cecil George Markley announces his passing after a long battle with congestive heart failure on July 26, 2018 at the age of 68. Cecil will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years Patricia Markley, his five children, Rob (Whitney) Krakenberg, Terrise Stotts, Tamatha (John) Bidwell, Lorianne (Steve) Howe, Lacyjane (Mike), his eighteen grandchildren Rob, Jeff, Danielle, Mechelle, Justin, Austin, Christian, Seth, Colby, John, Chelsie, Nathan, Ally, Kyleeann, Stephen, Ethan, Shyanna, TaylaMarie, his four great grandchildren Ember, Khali, Hailey, and Leah, siblings Jennette (Lee) Culkins, Hilda Floyd, Roger (Joann) Markley, along with nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Cecil, best known as “George” was born April 5,1950 in St Helen Oregon. He worked steady and hard for 28 years at Davis Wire where he made several life long friends. He enjoyed the peace and quiet of the outdoors and would spend many weekend fishing or hunting with is brother, nephew or grandsons. The most important was his family. He loved making people laugh and doing practical jokes. His faith was in God and he was confident in his salvation. At all family holidays he would always say prayers and never with a dry eye. His contagious laugh and barking dog impression will be forever missed. A Memorial Service in memory of George will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 5:00 p.m., at Church For All Nations, 111 112th Ave E, Tacoma, WA 98445 with Pastor Samuel Haley officiating. A reception will follow directly after memorial. A graveside memorial will be held on Monday August 20, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Green Mountain Cemetery, 75900 Larson Rd, Rainier OR 98048 with a reception to follow at Jennette Culkins residence.
