John "Jack" Eggers
December 9th, 1945 - March 29th, 2018
John "Jack" Eggers, was born to John and Hazel in Albany, NY on December 9, 1945. He left this life peacefully on March 29, 2018. Jack grew up in Hoags Corners, NY attended New Lebanon High and Hudson Valley CC. He has two children, son, Christopher "Lara" grandchildren Ben and Andrew; daughter, Margret "Daryl" grandchildren Emma and Jacob; two sisters, Sharon "Bill" and Kathie "Earl". Jack's love of skiing took him to Colorado where he met his wife, Gail. He loved playing softball, the saxophone in his father's band, snow skiing and sailing. They moved to Punta Gorda 17 years ago where Jack could walk out his back door and be sailing within minutes. Whenever Jack went sailing, he would smile and say, "It makes all the bad stuff go away". His love of sailing made him feel free. Now he has been set free. Memorial contributions in Jack's memory can be made to Mayo Clinic FL (ADRC) Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, 4500 San Pablo Rd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32224 or Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238. Arrangements are by Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematory.
