Hedy Susan Fogerty

Hedy Susan Fogerty Sue Fogerty, 59, of University Place, Wash. passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 after a two and half year battle with Multiple System Atrophy. She was born in Tacoma, WA on June 13, 1959 to Jacob and Hedy Parker. Sue graduated from Bellarmine in 1977 and the University of Washington in 1981. While still in college, Sue began working at Seafirst Bank/Bank of America in Seattle. She continued with the bank after college, eventually in the Tacoma Private Banking Department at Bank of America. She retired from banking in 1992 to spend time raising her girls Maggie and Colleen. She began volunteering at Chambers Primary when Maggie started school. That evolved into her second career as a paraeducator at the University Place School District that lasted until her illness forced retirement in 2016. Sue is predeceased by her parents and brother Ken Parker. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Tim, daughters Maggie Ogle (Kevin), and Colleen, siblings Jordan (Eileen) Parker, Dan (Kathleen) Parker, Peggy (Dan) Maguire, Kevin (Andrea) Parker, Tim Parker, Brian Parker, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to Gina, Thavy, and Livia of Franciscan Hospice, whose loving and professional care gave great comfort to Sue and her family. The family also thanks friends Birdi, Arlene, Rebekah, and Tim’s cousin Wendy for their kindness and generosity for many months. They were also a steady source of the sweets Sue loved so much.
