Clyde Norman Smith
November 16th, 1929 - February 12th, 2019
Clyde Norman Smith Jr., 89, of Arcadia, FL, passed away on February 12, 2019. Clyde served in the Air Force from 1950 thru 1954 during the Korean conflict. He was a crew chief on a C-119 cargo/transport aircraft. Clyde was a licensed pilot and owned his own airplane. He and his wife, Naomi, were motorcycle enthusiasts and traveled all over the United States. Clyde worked for Marietta Ignition and Auto Paint Work and was a salesman on the road for 35 years. Survivors include his wife, Naomi Smith, of Arcadia, FL; daughter, Tena (Brady) Lyons of Lowell, OH; sons, Mark (Amy) Smith of Savannah, TN and Tim (Shari) Smith of Williamstown, WV; granddaughters, Melissa Martin of Belpre, OH, Bobby Jo (Webb) Tyler of South Portsmouth, KY, and Heather (Jarrell) Scott of Ridley, WV; grandson, Jaron Trent Smith of FL; and great grandsons, Malachi and Elijah Martin of Belpre, OH. Clyde was predeceased by his grandparents, Jess and Lilly Smith; parents, Clyde Sr. and Halo Smith; son, Brad Smith; and granddaughter, Christy Mae Martin. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 15th at 11AM at First Baptist Church of Fort Ogden.
