Stefanie Renee Byrd
January 31st, 1976 - December 3rd, 2018
Stefanie Renee Byrd, was born in Wuerzburg, Germany to Luise and Donald Broughton, on January 31st, 1976. She ascended to heaven December 3, 2018 at 11:50pm. She attended Bates Technical College and worked as an Environmental Service Tech at St. Clare and Allenmore Hospitals. She was survived by her Mother, Luise LaSieur and stepfather Al LeSieur; longtime husband, Gary B. Byrd Sr.; two daughters, Angelica M. Manoi and Daisha C. Byrd; one son, Gary B. Byrd Jr.; one stepdaughter, Nina C. Santo all from Tacoma Wa.; seven sisters, Silvia Paz, Claudine Henry, Marilyn Feliciano, Melanie Sneed, From Tacoma Wa. Esther Fonseca, Michelle Baerga-Nunez both from Miami Fl. Angelique Phillips, from Mercer Island Wa; three brothers, Harold Broughton, Jeffery Broughton, both from Tacoma Wa.; one brother; Numerous nieces and nephews.and three Grandchildren. Stefanie was very in tuned to style particularly when it came to her dress, her looks, and her home. Most people entered into our home would look around even to this day in amazement at how finely positioned and coordinated everything was. She loved her children and grandchildren and spent every spare moment that she could making life better for them. Throughout this nearly year long ordeal her family would draw strength and inspiration from her never ending will to fight and to survive. Stefanie on several occasions had proved all the so called experts wrong. When they said she would never track to the right she proved them wrong. When they said she wouldn’t have any meaningful conversations she spoke and joked and laughed and encouraged us with her will to live. When they said she wouldn’t be able to move around and be mobile, she would wheel around the house barking out orders on cleaning up the house and other chores.. All these things proved that they didn’t know the metal that Stefanie Renee Byrd was made of or the type of person and the resolve that she had. So now that her coming home is in sight and we give thanks to god for working his magic and giving us the gift of time. For shielding us, the family from undue stress and aggravation. For giving us the will to go on even in our darkest hour. The strength to have faith when we didn’t think that we could. For shunning the nay sayers who said that they should just let her die. I say gods hand was all over Stefanie this year and forever will be. Rest in Peace my love your job has come to an end and even though you will be missed, we take solace in knowing that you will always be a part of our life as you smile and look down upon us. The family wishes to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all who have supported us. Thank you for your numerous acts of kindness, thoughts and prayers May god bless you and keep you. Thank you once again to MT. Tahoma Seventh Day Adventist Church and it’s Leadership, The Congregation, the fine folks at the MT. Tahoma Prayer Line.
