David Larry Hallman

David “Larry” Hallman, passed 12/13/2018 of Alzheimer’s related complications. Born 10/15/1947 in Bremerton WA he is survived by wife Michele Hallman, brother Wes Hallman, son Eric Hallman and daughters Lisa Rickard, Sandy Simon, Tobi Hensley, and Meghan Arnette as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. His celebration of life will take place at 2pm on February 2nd 2019 at the Island Lake Community Building 1087 NW Island Lake Rd, Poulsbo, WA 98370 Donations to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation encouraged in lieu of flowers. www.rmef.org Larry was a skilled hunter, avid outdoorsman and Bigfoot enthusiast.A master archer he was a longtime Member of Kitsap Bowhunters Club and owned and ran Outlaw Archery in Bremerton. Larry was an expert nature photographer and hunted wildlife with his camera in his later years. He had a wicked sense of humor and loved his trucks which he maintained impeccably. A decorated Vietnam Veteran Larry served in the US Army from 1964-1970 earning the honors of Bronze service Star, Air Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Sharpshooter, and the National Defense Service Medal. Other jobs included long haul trucking, security guard, hunting guide and elk and coyote calling expert which allowed him to pursue his passion for the outdoors throughout his whole life. Larry shared his love of nature with his wife, his children and grandchildren and friends at every opportunity and was always eager to share his skills and encourage others to experience the beauty of the wilderness he lived for.
