Lamont Paul Bailey Rushton Lamont Paul Bailey Rushton, “Monty” to most, was born on May 13, 1974, in Tacoma General Hospital, Tacoma, Pierce, Washington. His life ended with violence; having been stabbed three times. He passed away at St. Joseph’s hospital December 13, 2018. In his life he made by choices which he made as time went by. He chose to follow his own path with all the mistakes, unbeaten paths that led him in different directions, a map to unfulfilled dreams. Drugs and alcohol messed up his brain making him bipolar, moodiness and anxiety which included lows and highs. Now when he was on his meds he was Monty. But he went off the medications when he felt he was doing well and he didn’t need them anymore. He was a alcoholic and on illegal drugs at times. He was clean and sober at times and on the way to sobriety but always said he could handle one drink. He was really into skateboarding in his youth with one of his best friends, Jesse, and Lance plus others. He ended up in emergency rooms a lot and still had the scars to prove it. Tough love was hard; hard on the parents and the child. He was a very hard worker when he was not drinking and the nicest person you would ever meet. His greatest treasures was his sons but due to his substance abuse made it difficult to be there for them. So he came and went; still seeking for something but never finding it. Now he can put it all behind him, finding peace and comfort in the Lord’s realm where His plan is perfect and made possible to reach one’s destiny.
