Marvin Lee Owen, Sr. 72, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly TN, He was born December 5, 1940 in Tracey City, Tennessee to the late, James Brooks and Lola May (nee: Kilgore) Owens. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Faye Owens; children; sons, Richard Hall Owens and his wife, Margaret, Jamie Owens and his wife Julie, Marvin Lee Owens, Jr; daughters, Shari VanDinter and her husband Troy, Teresa Johnson, and Greta Cole and her husband Danny; Brother, James Brooks Owens, Jr; sister, Greta Jones; 17 grand children, 6 great grandchildren; best friend Voodoo. Family will receive friends and neighbors on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 Noon at Charlotte Memoiral Funeral Home and Cemetery, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL Cremation is private.
