Linda Lee Patterson

Linda Lee Patterson, age 60, passed away of ALS on May 23, 2021, in Tumwater, Washington, her home of 28 years. She was born January 3, 1961 to Walter and Genevieve Jones in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Linda travelled with her family across the country and around Asia as a child. Once her family settled in Klamath Falls, Oregon as a teenager, she joined the Klamath County Search and Rescue. She would go on from there to serve as a State Trooper with the Oregon State Patrol. Linda continued her life of caring for others by graduating from Oregon Health and Science University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1988. She married Wilfred Patterson on July 27, 1991, in Olympia, Washington. She was a Nurse Consultant with the State of Washington (2012-2017), a Healthcare Investigator with the State Department of Health (2002-2012), and case manager for Regence Blue Shield (1999-2001), and Assured Home Health and St. Peter Hospital. Linda also received accreditation for her work on a national nursing practices book. Linda loved whimsical art, was an avid crafter, and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and quilting. She was a member of the Prairie Points Quilt Guild. Christmas was her favorite time of year, both for religious reasons and because she got to spoil her family. Linda also had a wild side. She colored her hair with streaks of purple, had a large Celtic cross tattoo, and loved her motorcycle. She also loved golden retrievers and cocker spaniels, her fur babies. She is survived by her husband, Wilfred Lee Patterson; son, Kristopher Patterson; daughters, Sarah Patterson and Michele Gallegos; two grandchildren; her parents, Walter and Genevieve Jones; brothers, Walter, Scott and James Jones; and sisters, Susan and Jennifer Jones. A mass will be held Friday, June 18, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 812 Bowker St. SE, Lacey, WA 98503. Memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association, Evergreen Chapter, 19226 66th Ave. S, Suite L-105, Kent, WA 98032.
