Peggy Ann Elliott

Peggy Ann Elliott, 88, passed away June 25, 2021, in Olympia, Washington. She was born October 4, 1932, to Anthony Joseph Manners and Gladys Virginia Wood in Independence, Missouri. Peggy was a devoted and beloved mother and hero to her five children, Leslie Leigh Elliott, Byrne Elliott, Briana Ann Elliott (deceased), Judy Lynn Elliott, and Sarah Coke Elliott (deceased). She raised them as a single parent, while instilling in them a solid work ethic, integrity, and strong character traits. There was never a challenge Peggy could not overcome to keep her children safe and to provide them with the necessities of life. She moved to Mexico for a period of time to provide a better lifestyle for her family and to teach them a more worldly view of life. Peggy put the needs of her children first and taught them the importance of an education and to be self-sufficient. She even went back to school 20 years later to complete her Bachelor’s degree. Peggy was also a talented Realtor, who used her background to help her daughters purchase their own homes. Most of Peggy’s best times were with her children and grandchildren. For her first grandson, she took Catechism classes with classmates more than half her age so she could be fully educated on the responsibilities of being a Godmother in preparation for his baptism. Peggy’s remaining children and her grandchildren are forever grateful for the positive impact she made in their lives.
