Etta Elizabeth Hilderbrant passed away August 28, 2021, in Olympia, Washington, where she was born 97 years earlier on February 28, 1924 to Charles Edward and Gertrude Sawtell. Etta married Robert Bruce Hilderbrant on October 20, 1940; he passed away July 14, 2006. During the 1940s, Etta worked for the Olympia Cannery. In the 1960s, she worked at S&H Green Stamp and Gold Bond Stamp redemption stores, and in the 1970s, she worked for the Department of Labor and Industries. In addition, she was an avid seamstress. Etta is survived by her son, David B. Hilderbrant (Cheri) of Puyallup, Washington; daughter, Nancy G. Barnes of Tumwater, Washington; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bruce; son, Charles Wesley (Nancy); and brother, Charles Sawtell.
