Darrell "Steven" Jensen
September 23rd, 1955 - September 19th, 2021
On September 19, 2021, Steve Jensen, age 65, passed away suddenly at home in Tenino, Washington. Steve was a loving husband, father, and grandfather “Pop.” Born in Yelm, Washington, on September 23, 1955, Steve is the son of Darrell and Reda Jensen, brother to Joni Jensen, and uncle to Justin and Jeremy Larkin. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karen; son, Kevin and wife Krystal, and granddaughters, Dalynn and Kacie; son Mike, his wife Jamie, granddaughter, Reagan; and his father, Darrell Jensen. He was predeceased by his mother, Reda Jensen. Steve worked construction in a family business, Jensen and Jensen Construction, for many years in general dirt work, and for the BNSF railroad. In 2012, Steve ended his work with Jensen and Jensen, and began to work his love of ranching full time on Riverbend Ranch in Tenino. On the ranch, Steve raised cattle, grew Christmas trees, and managed commercial timber. Steve loved operating heavy machinery and semi-trucks. Steve was loved and will be greatly missed by those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Lake Lawrence Community Club, 15735 Topaz Drive SE, Yelm, WA 98597. A farmer went about his day, cutting fields and raking hay, to feed family, friends, strangers too, reminding himself what hard work can do. He raised his kids, fed his wife, giving thanks to God for a simple life… Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
