Allen Newton Shearer, age 81, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, on November 26th, 2019. Allen was born on January 25th, 1938 to Lucille Ruth Arthur and Walter Allen Shearer in Miami, Oklahoma. Allen completed his 12 years of school and later went on to join the Army. He did his training in Caldwell Canyon, Idaho and worked as a Field Radio Repairman. He was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA until he went overseas to Korea. He was active duty for 2 years and was officially honorably discharged on January 27th, 1963. Shortly after returning from Korea, Allen fell in love and married Judy Woods on November 12th 1965 and together they raised their 6 children in the Tacoma, WA area. Allen went on to work for the Pipe company as Fabricator/millwright. He worked there for 40+ years. Allen was country western at heart. He loved his country western music, shows, clothes and everything in between. He was known in the CB crowd (and by his family) as Running Bear. His love of his guns help get him to become one of the fastest gun drawers around. He enjoyed his time watching his shows, playing on his computer, working on his woodwork and leatherwork and visiting with family. Allen is survived by his brothers Merle, Wes and Raymond, His wife Judy, their 6 children Kim (Dave), Jerry (Jan), Kevin (Teresa), Stacy, Kelly (Bruce), Tommy (Bri) and 14 Grandkids Arlen, Brandon (Jesse), Christina, Angel (Mitch), Jenny (Nick), Judy (Brian), Kerry, Melissa, Gary, Patrick, Jesse, Kole, Lexi, Jamey and MANY Great Grandchildren. A memorial service will be held to honor and remember Allen in August of 2020.
