Janet "Jan" O Baldridge
August 5th, 1944 - November 9th, 2019
Janet (Jan) Olivia Baldridge 1944-2019 “We Shall All Meet Again.” Jan passed away peacefully on November 9, 2019. She was born on August 5, 1944 in Fairview, Montana to Edwin and Gertrude Lervold. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Cartwright, North Dakota. She attended the one-room Green School in Cartwright, with her siblings and one other family. She was raised on a farm in rural North Dakota until the age of sixteen when her family moved to Spanaway, Washington. She graduated from Bethel High School in 1962. She later completed her education in finance at Tacoma Community College and Pacific Lutheran University. She spent her career working for various companies as an accountant using her keen attention to detail, retiring in 2008 from Apex Engineering. Jan loved walking, gardening, cross word puzzles and Willie Nelson. She and Bod loved to travel, which included skiing trips, hiking, and many road trips in their “Minnie Winnie.” She was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church since 1975, serving as chair of the Alter Guild since her retirement. Her greatest joy in life was knowing Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Baldridge, parents Edwin and Gertrude Lervold, brothers Roger, Ole, and Jeff Lervold. She is survived by her sisters; Alice, Donna (Ron) Dyer, Lois (Ken) Chelini, Marjie (Doug) Schulze, and Diane (Mel) Stanford, son Richard Ditty (Martine), daughter Nicole Wonner (James), grandchildren Megan and Matthew Ditty, and Luke and Manny Wonner, step-daughters Kalena Drinnin and Annette Nereim (Steve), step-grandsons Mike (Amber) and Kyle (Alyssa) Nereim and great-step-grandson Weston, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank our family and friends for their support, prayers, and acts of kindness during the past two-year journey. We are so thankful Jan is in the arms of her loving Savior and out of pain forever. She will be remembered for her kind heart, honesty, her sense of humor, and beautiful smile. We were blessed to have her in our lives, and she will be greatly missed. Memorial donations can be made to Franciscan Hospice House in University Place. The family is forever thankful for the loving and compassionate care given by the staff, or to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
