Paul Kobzar

Paul Kobzar of North Port, Florida, passed away peacefully at Bayfront Health, Port Charlotte on March 27, 2021. He was 64 years old. Paul was born in Pashkovskaya Village, Krasnodar Region, Russia on December 28, 1956 to Ivan and Mariya (Kostushkina) Kobzar. He was one of 8 children. Following graduating from vocational college and meeting his wife, Millie (Chapek) Kobzar, he and his family emigrated from Russia to the United States in 1995. After emigrating to the United States, Paul attended the International School of Ministry and received a Certificate of Biblical Studies to follow his calling to serve God as a Preacher and Pastor. He also was a missionary in Honduras and Mexico, serving those in need. He and his wife, Millie opened their hearts and home to others and freely gave their time and talents to assist and provide hope to those in need. Paul enjoyed many things including music and the outdoors, especially singing, playing guitar, fishing, geology, and the ocean. He also loved to travel with his wife and children. Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Mariya and is survived by his father, Ivan; beloved wife of 26 years, Millie (Chapek) Kobzar; sons: Anton Taveras, Nicholas Kobzar, Ilya Kobzar and Ivan Kobzar; daughters: Julia Kobzar and Diana Gray Taveras; grandchildren: Anya Kobzar, Danila Kobzar, Matthew Gray, Enzo Taveras and soon-to-be-born grandson. A Chapel Service is scheduled for Friday, April 2, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. Viewing and Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, with Burial to follow in Charlotte Memorial Cemetery. All Attendees are invited to a Reception at World Holiness Center, 5585 Reisterstown Road in North Port, FL 34291 following all services.
