Bernice Esther Kade

Bernice E. Kade “Bee” Bee loved life to the fullest. She was 94 years old when she passed away at her home in Fircrest, September 19, 2020. She was born in Tacoma and later her family moved to a farm in Edgewood. Where she lived until meeting Bertram Kade. They married April 24,1948 and resided in Tacoma. Dad passed away in 2007. Mom became ill after a surgery in June of 2017. She was such a fighter through her illness. She rarely complained and instead looked forward to her friends and family calling and spending time. Mother enjoyed so many things about life. She loved to play golf and celebrated a hole-in-one. She was able to play until her eye sight hindered her ability to see the ball. She was involved with First Lutheran Church & volunteered for several committees throughout the years. She played bridge several times a week. She had a ladies lunch group and supper club group that she met with regularly. When her children were young, she coached their softball team, the track and field at the Fircrest Community Center. Mother was the first jazzercise instructor at the community center. Back in the day she was involved in the Wainwright Elementary School PTA was awarded the Acorn Award. She will be greatly missed by many friends and family members. She is survived by her children Gretchen Galbraith (Mike), Kristine Kade, Teresa Kade (Debbie), and Donald Kade (Kathy). Sister, Beverly Roberts. Grandson, Kristofor Coulter, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents Elmer and Esther Lind and brothers, Harry and Glenn Lind, sister in laws Alice and Mary, niece Janet Miller and nephew David Lind. A private funeral will be held on September 29, 2020 at First Lutheran Church and burial at Tahoma National Cemetery on September 30,2020.
