Robert Allen Caldwell, Sr. was born September 23, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA. His parents were Richard and Gladys (Morrow) Caldwell. Robert passed away on August 20, 2021, in Port Charlotte, FL. Robert is survived by his wife, Kathy Evans Caldwell. Also survived by his first wife Betty and their children, Robert, Connie, Rick and Scott. Robert is also survived by Laurie and Jenny daughters of his second wife Mary Lou. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Caldwell Yenchik. Robert graduated from Marion Center High School in 1955. Robert is a veteran of the U.S. Army and served our country for 8 years. Robert’s career was in the construction industry while residing in Pennsylvania, and in the landscape industry in Florida. Many civic organizations and clubs were part of Robert’s life. The organizations include the American Motorcycle Association, American Legion post 110, Blinded Veterans Association, Charlotte County Orchid Society, Florida Garden Railroad Society, Southwest FL Fossil Society, Peace River Butterfly Society, Mustang Club Charlotte County, National Rifle Association, American Motorcyclist Association, Harry Goulding Chapter of American Hibiscus Society, and the Zinc City Motorcycle Club. Robert also enjoyed his hobbies of trains, motorcycles, collecting toys and gardening. There will be a memorial service with military honors on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 10am at Sarasota National Cemetery located at 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241.
