Josephine Kalena, 93 of Punta Gorda passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Born March 19, 1928 in Syracuse, New York to Joseph & Verna Ross. Along with her parents, she predeceased in death by her husband of 60 years, Henry Kalena and her oldest daughter, Phyllis (Mike) Bittner. Josephine is survived by her 5 daughters and 2 sons, John Kalena, Vicky (Doug) Johnson, Cindy (Jim) Wiese, James (Sally) Kalena, Gena Kalena Thompson, Lisa (Scott) Warram, Ann Marie Pershing, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Josephine moved to Punta Gorda area in 1969 and was a member of the San Antonio Catholic Church. She was a loving wife and devoted mother and loved family time together. A memorial will be held at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL on December 10th from 9 to 10am and a Funeral Mass will follow at 11am at San Antonio Catholic Church, 24445 Rampart Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL.
