Dean E. French passed away May 5, 2023, in Olympia, Washington, his home of 40 years. He was born May 19, 1941, to Wilmer E. and M. Ruth French in Loma Linda, California. Over the years, he also resided in Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii. Dean graduated Pacific High School in San Bernadino, California, and from San Bernadino Valley College. He worked in the newspaper industry, and was a laborer/miner, occupational health and safety manager, and consultant. He was married to Carole Coleman (1963-1978), Penny Sass (1988-1998), and Katie Cedarholm (2008-2014). Dean was a great marksman, and loved boating, canoeing, hiking, fishing, climbing and photography. He was a member of Unity Church of Olympia. He is survived by his son, Michael D. French of Las Vegas, Nevada; and daughter, Susan J. June French. Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
