Dominic V Yarrington, 50, of Puyallup, passed away on August 28, 2021, after a two-week hospital stay due to Covid. Dominic was born on December 19, 1970, to Duane and Kathie Yarrington in Auburn, WA. He grew up in Milton, attended school in the Fife School District and graduated in 1989. After graduation he attended the University of Idaho for one year and then transferred to Eastern Washington University, where he earned a football scholarship. He graduated in 1994 with his Bachelor’s degree in education and later went on to earn his Master’s degree. Dominic worked in public education, at the high school level, for nearly 20 years. During that time, he worked in a handful of different districts, making many lifelong friends. He also felt very blessed to have the opportunity to coach football and create lasting relationships with several student athletes. Dominic left education in 2014 and transitioned into the insurance industry, fulfilling his dream of becoming a business owner. Dominic met his wife, Susan, in elementary school. They started dating in 1988 and were married in 1997. They had one son, Dustin and three fur babies. Dominic was predeceased by both of his parents. He is survived by his wife Susan, son Dustin of Edgewood, sister Kathy of Seattle, sister Dawn of California, brother Andy of Buckley, brother Mike of Maple Valley, sister Traci of Florida, two nephews, four nieces and two grand pups. Dominic was very fortunate to have come across so many people in his life that left a lasting impact on him and his family. He will be greatly missed.
