Butterflies, beading, sunshine, rainbows, riding horses, special loved ones. These are a few of the things that made Samantha Lynn Cline happy. After a long battle with mental health challenges, Samantha passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2023. Though she struggled in life and her journey on earth has come to an end, her spirit is strong and she is now in her Heavenly Father’s care. Born August 22, 2008, to Adam and Carrie Cline in Lacey, Washington, Samantha was a daughter, sister, cousin, niece, granddaughter, and friend. She was a student in the North Thurston Public School District, having attended Seven Oaks Elementary School, Nisqually Middle School, River Ridge High School, and Summit Virtual Academy. Samantha was also an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Samantha was a beautiful young woman whose dimpled smile and laugh lit up the room. She loved to spend time with her friends and never met a stranger. She had a creative mind that led her to write, paint, draw, mold and even destroy. (Loving jab!) Her favorite hobby was making bracelets, which brought her a sense of peace and satisfaction. She relished the many traditions of her family and was drawn to exploring new things. She loved little kids and they loved her. She enjoyed being in the water, whether it was swimming in an ice cold river or dancing in the rain. Samantha had a special love for horses and took comfort in snuggling with her squishmallows and her dogs, Lexi and Molly. While she will be missed dearly, Samanatha’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends eternally. Samantha is survived by her parents; brother, Brinnon Cline; sister, Olivia Cline; grandparents, Jim and Judy Cline; grandmother, Catherine Petersen; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Howard Petersen, along with great-grandparents and other loved ones. The family is extremely grateful for all the love and support that they have received and appreciate all your prayers! A memorial service will be held on November 15, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1602 Ruddell Road SE, Lacey, WA 98503. The family has chosen not to have a viewing; however, visitors may pay their respects prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. There will be a private family graveside service at Masonic Memorial Park in Tumwater, Washington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HeartStrides Therapeutic Horsemanship, an equine therapy program in Olympia. Samantha was blessed to participate in a six-week program prior to her passing. She loved horses and the family would appreciate your support in helping fund this amazing foundation in her honor. Donations may be mailed to 3500 85th Lane SW, Olympia, WA 98512 or online by clicking HERE. Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
