Carmela Quarto, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away in the hospital on May 5, 2023. She was 77 years old. She was born on June 27, 1945, in Caivano, Napoli, Italy to parents Pasquale and Teresa Barbato. She married her beloved husband Nunziante Quarto on August 3, 1970, in Caivano, Napoli, Italy. She moved to New Jersey and was a resident for 46 years before moving to Fort Myers, Florida. She became a cook for the Edison Middle School Cafeteria. Carmela loved to cook, and feed people. She enjoyed dancing and watch the Italian channel. She was the biggest fan of General Hospital. Carmela is predeceased by her parents, two brothers and a sister. Carmela is survived by her husband, Nunziante Quarto; daughters, Gina and husband Giovanni Finamore and Teresa and husband Ted Urlton; son Carlo Quarto; sisters, Luisa LaTorre, Virginia Barbato and Teresa Barbato; grandsons, Domenico, Enzo, Michael, Ted, Alex and Jake; Granddaughter Samantha Jade great grandchildren, Bruno, Gino and Carina; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 6pm-8pm. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Thursday, May 11th, 2023, followed by entombment. Pallbearers will be grandsons Domenico Finamore, Enzo Finamore and Michael Finamore. All services will be held at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home at 9400 Indian Spring Cemetery Road in Punta Gorda, Florida 33950.
