Bernice Stoddart

Bernice A “Grantie” Stoddart, 86, passed away October 19, 2023, in Shreve Port LA. She was born to the late, James and Louise Finaky- Grant in Westmoreland, Jamaica. Bernice attained a bachelor’s degree in nursing and spent her entire career as an RN which includes being a registered Midwife in London, England. She retired to SW Florida and enjoyed spending her time with family, cooking, connecting with people and traveling, as well as, watching African drama movies. Survivors include three daughters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews as well as three grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Bernice is preceded in death by her husband, George Stoddart, two sisters and eight brothers. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday November 3rd at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Errol Stoddart officiating. Entombment will follow in Charlotte Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time at 10:00 am.
