Shirley Alexander
January 6th, 1949 - April 21st, 2015
Shirley Alexander was born on January 6, 1949 at home in Walville, Washington, just outside of Raymond, Washington, where she went to school and graduated. She lived in Elma, Washington when she passed away on April 21, 2015 at St. Peter Hospital. She was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer on November 22, 2014. Shirley is survived by her husband, Dale Alexander; her children, Lori Gibbs of Olympia, Washington, Stewart Alexander of Elma, and Raynona Jones of Elma; her mother, Edna Watson of Raymond, Washington; her brothers, Bob Carroll of Aberdeen, Washington and Roy Watson of Montesano, Washington; and her sisters Laura Laytham of Kelso, Washington, and Milly Neva of Raymond. She has seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was also a cousin, sister-in-law, favorite auntie and friend to all who knew her. Shirley touched so many people in her life. She had a way of making those around her feel loved and accepted no matter what. She could make you smile even at the most difficult of times. She brought people together who otherwise may never have met without her. She loved everyone as if they were her own flesh and blood, even if it was only for a day. Those who got the opportunity to meet her loved her. She was such a rare gem in this world of ordinary stones. She will be missed dearly but never forgotten. Please leave memories of Shirley or condolences for her family in the Guestbook below.
