Mary Josephine James
December 8th, 1936 - July 16th, 2019
Mary Jo James beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on July 16, 2019. She was born December 8, 1936 in Puyallup and later moved to Yelm where she lived until she graduated from Yelm High School. Mary Jo married Lee James on August 5, 1955. They were married 63 wonderful years! In 1956 they started their family of five: Gary James, Rena Hofner, Vickie Amundson, Loren James, Kurt James. They have 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Mary Jo’s love of her husband and children were the most important things in her life. She was known for her family gatherings and always making sure there was time for the family. After raising her family she was able follow a dream and travel. She loved spending time with the family and showing pictures of all the great places they visited. A celebration of Mary Jo’s life is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday July 25th at All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup.
