David Steven Andersen Dave passed away on Tuesday 11/5/2019 in Puyallup, WA. Dave was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 and faced many unthinkable challenges with hope, dignity, and bravery. Dave is survived by his loving daughter Jaime, son Dave, father Richard, sister Ginny, brother Rick, grandson Edward, and many extended family members and friends. Dave’s love for his children and grandson is something our family will always admire as we reflect on all the gifts Dave gave us throughout his life. Apart from his family, Dave had two great loves in his life: the Dallas Cowboys and The Beatles. But most of all, Dave was especially proud of his two-year-old grandson, Edward. He often spoke of how proud he was of his daughter Jaime and son-in-law Luke for raising little Edward to be such a bright and loving presence in our family. The last thing Edward told Dave was, “I love you, Grandpa.” Very well said, Edward. Dave will be missed by his family and friends, and our world will never be the same. Please join us for a short memorial service at Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup (2323 9th Street SW) on Friday 11/15 at 11:00 am, with a reception to follow at Immanuel Lutheran Church where we will celebrate Dave’s life. We miss you, Dad (and Grandpa).
