James R Carr

James R. Carr passed away on February 15, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital, surrounded by his family. Jim was born in Mt. Vernon Indiana on January 26, 1947, to Fern and Elmer Carr. He was the middle born of 13 children, 9 boys and 4 girls. He retired at the age of 55 from The Boeing Company after 25 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his friends, and driving and tinkering on his cars and boats. Jim is survived by his wife LaVonne; his children: Dawn (John) Schroeder, Susan (Mark) Bennett, Matt (Gina) Kracht, Nate (Julie) Kracht; and grandchildren: Taylor, MacKenzie, Brianna, Shayla and Alex; and many nieces and nephews. We will all miss his positive outlook on life, love and support for all close to him, and the way his smile would light up the room! We wish to thank all family and friends for the love, kindness and support we have received.
