Bettie "Elizabeth" Jane Fritz
June 29th, 1922 - February 28th, 2007
Bettie Fritz was born in Chicago, Il., 3rd child of Louis & Rose L. Weil. She moved to Seattle as a child. She attended St. Anne’s School, Holy Names Academy and Seattle University. On August 12, 1944.she married Robert Gordon Fritz. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 1963, her brother Charles Weil, sister Rosemary O’Hearn, daughter, Carolyn Hirth in October 2006, and infant granddaughter Melissa T. Hirth in 1987. She is survived by her sons Roger Fritz of Poulsbo, Greg (Karla) Fritz of Seattle, Charles (Theresa) Fritz of Kent, Robert J. (Brenda) Fritz of Kent; Daughters Rose (Tim) Blumenstein of Auburn, Sue (Frank) Kokorowski of Seattle, & Therese (Terry) McDonough of Seattle. There are 16 surviving grandchildren: John (Deanna) Blumenstein, Tom (Jenny) Blumenstein, Christie (Shawn) Welsh, Mike (Leslie) Blumenstein, Jim Fritz, Dave (Lisa) Fritz, Chris (Valerie) Fritz, Amy (Kevin) Lee, Chuckie Fritz, Aaron (Crystalyn) Kokorowski, Greg Kokorowski, Matt Kokorowski, Bob McDonough, Ally McDonough, Ben Hirth, Breanna Hirth. She also has 13 Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, March 10th at 12:00 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Seattle with a luncheon following. There will also be a Rosary on Friday night, March 9th at 8:00pm, at St. John’s Church. Remembrances in her name may be made to Providence Hospice of Seattle, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Alzheimer’s Assoc., the Cancer Society or any organization of the donor’s choice.
