Jeremy Benson

Jeremy Benson passed away September 20, 2016 in Toledo, Washington, his home the past ten years. He was 44. Jeremy was born July 14, 1972 to Dennis and Michelle Benson in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from high school in Hood River, Oregon in 1991, and over the years, also lived in the Oregon cities of Scappoose and Hillsboro. In 1994, he married former wife Leana Hunter in Enumclaw, Washington. In the early 90s, Jeremy was employed by Construction Labors, working on light rail in Portland. He also did various other construction jobs. When he moved to Toledo, he became a certified crane operator, working for Operating Engineers Local 612. He was a member of NCCCO. Jeremy always had a smile, was a hard worker, and liked helping anyone in need. The love of his life was his daughter. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on the river with her and friends. In addition, he loved hunting, being outdoors, remote control cars and airplanes, and building things. He is survived by his daughter, Sorelle Benson; parents, Dennis and Michelle Benson; brother, Jacob Benson; sister, Lynnea Sutton; and grandfather, Arthur Means. He was predeceased by his grandpa, Emil Benson; grandmother, Nadine Means; and grandmother, Fern Miller. Please leave memories of Jeremy or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
