Lou Ann Berger, 86, passed away on July 7th at RooLan Healthcare Center in Lacey, WA, surrounded by family. She was born on May 28, 1928, in Olympia, WA to John B. and Susan (Kauth) Fitzmorris. She graduated from Olympia High School in 1946. In November 1947, Lou Ann married the love of her life, Embree A. Berger. Together, they raised five children. Lou Ann worked as Chief Lands Recorder for the Department of Natural Resources until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of St. Michael Parish, and served on their Alter Society and their St. Vincent de Paul Society. She also enjoyed helping out at Bread and Roses. She enjoyed traveling to Ireland, her daily walks to explore her surroundings, music and cooking. She cherished her time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Lou Ann is survived by her 2 sons Roger Berger and Alan Berger; and 2 daughters Cindy (Chuck) Stewart and Aimee (James) Berger-Sheridan; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Embree, and her daughter Susan Crouse. Please leave memories of Lou Ann or condolences for her family in the Guestbook below.
