John Lund

Mr. John Lund passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2020 in Spanaway, Washington at the age of 58. John is survived by his Mother Arlene of Bellingham, WA; Wife Dawn Amy-Lund; Children, Emily Kinzie, Kenneth Amy, Vanessa, Ryan and Nate Carver, and Frank & Anthony Cucitro; Grandchildren Austin and Asher Kinzie. Brothers, Joe and Mike. He is preceded in death by his father Richard. John was born on July 9, 1962 in Fullerton, CA to Arlene & Richard. He met Dawn in 2006 after two very fortuitous run-ins at both Bed, Bath, & Beyond and the Puyallup Farmers Market. The couple built their home with Emily & Kenneth. His family remembers him as a kind, gentle, patient, and supportive husband and father who encouraged his family to pursue their goals and always had a breakfast sandwich ready to start the day. John really showed his character as a grandfather. He was amazing with all his grandchildren and in their short lives built a special bond with each and every one of them. His compassion always showed through and he never failed to calm a crying baby or distract a child so their parents could eat. He was always there when needed, and would never hesitate to step in. John was a Special Inspector for Construction Testing Laboratories at the time of his passing and was accomplished in his career holding several elevated certifications. He was a kind, generous, and dedicated man who loved the Seahawks, was patient with the Mariners, and who was passionate about his family, his yard, and how to cook the perfect eggs. He was a dedicated man of God whose faith in Jesus Christ carried him throughout his life. Due to COVID-19 gathering limitations, two viewing services are scheduled for 4:00p – 6:30pm on Wednesday, August 19th and 4:00p – 8:00p on Thursday, August 20th at Hill Funeral Home in Puyallup, Washington. Please be advised masks will be required. All are welcome to attend a viewing and celebrate John’s life. His family would like to thank their loving community of friends and family for their care and support in this difficult time.
