William F. Burger October 2, 1934 – April 30, 2011 William “Bill” Burger passed away on April 30, 2011 in Puyallup, WA. Bill was born October 2, 1934 in Independence Iowa to: Frank and Francis Burger. Bill lived most of his childhood in Iowa and Wisconsin. In 1952 he joined the Air Force. It was while he was stationed at Edwards Air Force Base, that he ventured out on a blind date and met the love of his life Elizabeth “Betty”. They fell madly in love and were married on June 6, 1953 in Los Angeles, CA. Moved to Auburn, WA. in 1993. He remained in Auburn until his death. Together they had 4 children, William, John, Lori and Steven (deceased). They had 9 grandchildren, Misty, Amanda, Joshua, Jourdan, Jonathan, Stefanie, Kristian, Dakota and Taylor Rose. They had 4 great-grandchildren, Austin, Adrian, Jasmyn and Kaitlyn. Bill’s family was his world and loved them all very deeply. His favorite pastimes were: Bowling, playing poker , going to Auburn High football games, watching his USC Trojans play football, going to NHRA drag racing and drinking his diet coke while eating his Hershey’s special dark chocolate bar! Bill is survived by his Wife Betty, Son’s William and John, Daughter Lori, Son-In Law Andre, Daughter’s In Laws, Judy, Cindy and Kourtney, 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday May 6, 2011 at 10:30 am at: St. Barbara’s Catholic Church located at: 32416-6th Ave, Black Diamond, WA. 98010. Burial is at: 12:30pm at: Tahoma National Cemetery located at: 18600 SE 240th St., Covington, WA.
