Elliot Brian Bornstein

Elliot passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 18, 2014 in Chehalis, Washington, at the age of 56. He was born September 25, 1957 in Miami, Florida, where he grew up. He also lived in Eugene, Oregon (1982-1983), where he met his wife. Santa Rosa, California (1984-1990), and Chehalis (1990-2014). After graduating from high school, he became a jack-of-all-trades, he also was a bounty hunter, bail bondsman, and construction worker and then went on to truck driving school and became a long haul truck driver. Elliot was a gentle giant! He was an outgoing jokester who enjoyed hunting, coaching softball and soccer, playing coed softball, camping, and having big barbeques. Of all his interests, his family was the most important. He adored his wife, his children and grandchildren were his heart. He loved spending time with them, when watching their games he was always the loudest one there. Everyone who met Elliot liked him and will never forget him. Elliot is survived by his wife Valerie Bornstein; sons, Gus (Julie) Bornstein, Shane (Ambrea) Bornstein, Joshua (Gretchen) Bornstein and Joseph Malone; daughters, Christina (Josh) Whaley, Athena Bornstein, Rachel (Samuel) Madrid, and Ashley Bornstein; 16 grandchildren; his mother, Barbara Bornstein; brothers, Len Gould and Frank Christodoulos; and sisters, Jill (Adam) Hyman and Ruth Sternberg. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Bornstein; and grandparents, Benjamin and Sophie Bornstein, and William and Jean Surks.
