John Bushnell, 86, passed away February 20, 2014. He was born April 23, 1927 in Portland, Oregon. John graduated from Clover Park High School and the College of Puget Sound. John served in the Navy for 14 months. He was employed by Sears Roebuck as the credit manager then went to work for the State Auditor office where he retired in 1985. He was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He was a volunteer at the Washington State Employees Credit Union and St. Vincent DePaul for many years. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Violet; his six children, Dr. Jerome (Karen), Jeanette Bushnell PhD (Rick), David (Rene), James (Ray), Richard (Carole), Sandra Straughan (Ben); 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. John and Violet loved their travels around the US and many foreign countries, they recently returned from a cruise to Antarctica. John enjoyed many large family gatherings, working his puzzles and computer games, and was an avid reader. He will be dearly missed. In his memory, donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society. Please leave memories of John or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
