Jose Antonio Lopez

Jose Antonio (Tony) Lopez Mascorro, 66 passed away unexpectedly on February 17th, 2024 at his home in Denver, Colorado due to an illness.

Tony was born on March 26, 1957 in Huejuquilla

El Alto, Jalisco Mexico to Antonio Lopez Escalante and Maria Santos Mascorro Pacheco.

He is survived by his loving wife Josie Padilla of 45 years, his daughter, Veronica Lopez and his son Tony Lopez, Jr.

He’s also survived by his brothers Jorge, Miguel,

Javier, Carlos, Ruben and his sister Margarita Lopez, his God Daughter, Justina Salazar and numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces, family, close friends, and neighbors.

He is predeceased by his parents, Antonio Lopez Escalante, Maria Santos Mascorro Pacheco and his brother Juan Lopez. May they rest in peace✝️

Tony retired from Safeway Stores after 20 years of service in the Produce Department.

Prior to that Tony, worked 10 years for Robinson Brick in the brickyard, before joining Safeway Stores.

Tony really liked His Camero’s, and enjoyed watching professional boxing.

He was an avid collector of different kinds of men’s gloves and various ink pens. Ohh, He also wore his thick socks all year around 🧦😊

He especially liked listening to music by Javier Solis, a very well known Mexican Artist & Composer.

Every time we had company at our house, Tony would ask Alexa to play:

“I like Big Butts and I cannot lie”….just to make us all laugh😂

And, He also enjoyed eating Big Mac’s, Tamales drinking Sprite, Hot Chocolate and watching movies by his favorite actor:“Bruce Lee.”

He had a very special Love for his two sweet dogs, Daisy and Marlee”.

My Dad Tony, will be sadly missed by all his family, friends, neighbors and…..

Especially by My Mom and Myself 💔

To close, My Mom and I want to personally Thank everyone for supporting Us thru this unexpected and difficult time.
