In Loving Memory Patricia M. LaFontaine December 9, 1963 - May 30, 2021 Patty LaFontaine passed away peacefully in her sleep at 5:30am on May 30th, 2021, at the age of 57 after succumbing to ovarian cancer. Patty was born on December 9th, 1963, in Seattle, Washington at Fort Lawton Army Hospital to Alfred and Shirley Huard. Patty grew up in Burien and attended high school at Evergreen where she dated her future husband (Carl LaFontaine). Patty loved high school, she ran track and was an athletic trainer for the men’s football team. Patty graduated from Central Washington University with a BS in Accounting. Through college Patty worked at Legros, Buchanan & Paul Law Firm where she remained an invaluable employee for the last 37 years. Patty and Carl were married at St. Bernadette’s church in Burien, Washington on August 13, 1988. They welcomed their daughter, Lauren, on September 25th, 1990. Socializing and long-term relationships were very important to Patty, her home was the heart of all family gatherings. Patty spent much of her life making other people’s lives better. Patty loved golf and traveling, she was fortunate to travel to many places. Patty also loved her work; her colleagues were like family and she cherished them as such. Patty was preceded in death by her father Alfred; Mother Shirley; and her brother, John. Patty is survived by her loving husband Carl; daughter Lauren; son-in-law Filipp; grandchildren Mason and Mila; brothers Tom and Chris; sisters Pam, Yolanda, and Therese; numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Patty will be dearly and sweetly remembered by many, many people. Mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent De Paul Parish, Federal Way, with burial at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, Shoreline.
